On April 9-10 2016 the ITU World Triathlon Series comes to Gold Coast, Queensland and will be fiercely contested by the world’s best triathletes. In 2016, the year of the Rio 2016 Olympics, Gold Coast will once again find itself the focus of the triathlon world as it hosts the second round of the ITU World Triathlon Series on Saturday 9 April. The elite triathletes, including several Olympic contenders, will make their mark on the Gold Coast sprint distance course lined by spectator support.
Gold Coast is a key selection race for our Aussie athletes vying for Olympic selection for Rio 2016.
Britt will again be the head Sport Physio for the AUS team at the event after the opening round in Abu Dhabi last month, Britt is no stranger to ITU racing having been the AUS team’s Sports Physio for close to 8 years, only to have the last couple year off on maternity leave. The pressure to perform by the AUS athletes will be at fever pitch with Olympic selection on the line so it’s sure to be an action packed race for our Triathletes.
